Created feature art for Booklist Online (400,000 views per month; 175,000 unique).
  • Key role in the successful merger of two separate magazine production groups into one cohesive production team, advising the Production Director on how best to reassign production and design tasks to reduce impact of staff reduction. Created templates, element libraries and best practices to increase efficiency, smooth workflow, reduce error, and lower costs.
  • Created banners and buttons for promotion of blogs and features on Booklist Online.
  • Designed REaD ALERTS e-newsletter logo (20 issues a year with 80,000 readers).
  • Project managed and supervised production and design process of Book Links magazine. Updated magazine layout and integrated InCopy into workflow, streamlining the production process.
  • Developed workflow and design of digital supplement issues to Booklist and American Libraries—a new potential revenue stream.

  • Co-managed Booklist publishing production department during Production Director’s three-month leave (October 2003 - January 2004).
  • Created system for managing, coordinating, collecting and preparing art and advertisements for publications; trained current and new staff in design programs; identified and resolved page file problems to reduce printing costs and errors, maximize use of color, maintain magazine style consistency and increase advertiser satisfaction without lowering quality of magazine production.
