I am a freelance designer and illustrator with over 10 years experience and a life time of art training.

Although I've considered and occasionally tried to do something else (folly of youth), art has been the constant in my life I continue to return to. I adore it from the most creative projects like designing web graphics and illustrating classic children's book characters, Ramona Quimby and Pippi Longstocking, to the technical job of removing a background from an image or building templates and flowing text. I move from traditional medium to digital without hesitation.

If it's visual, I want to do it.

A Girl Named Gus

Born and raised a Jersey girl on the Jersey Shore, I prefer living near large bodies of water and have lived on all 3 coasts: Atlantic, Pacific, and Lake Michigan. I graduated with honors from Northwestern University in 1998. I recently moved to the San Francisco area with my shiba inu after living in Chicago for 15 years. I've run long distance almost as long as I've been an artist and have completed 3 marathons in 3 hrs 50 minutes. I draw, paint, run, knit, cook, read, watch too much tv, don't eat dairy, and prefer espresso over coffee. When something is particularly funny, I have a wicked laugh. My friends call me Gus.
